Experience a journey that blends history, nature and adventure along the Inca route to Machu Picchu. Walk ancient trails, explore sites like Wiñay Wayna and enjoy unique Andean landscapes. A program that combines living culture, moderate hiking and iconic destinations.
Arrival – Cusco - City Tour & Nearby Ruins
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met at the airport and transferred by private transport to your selected hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Imperial City of Cusco: visit the Main Square, the Cathedral known for its colonial architecture and valuable Cusco School art collection, and Koricancha or “Temple of the Sun,” which still preserves its original Inca walls once covered in gold.
Continue to Sacsayhuamán, an impressive ceremonial fortress with massive stone blocks. Then visit Qenqo, a ceremonial archaeological complex, Tambomachay, known as the “Inca Baths” dedicated to water worship, and Puca Pucara, a military construction known as the “Red Fortress” due to its reddish tones. (Private or shared service)
Overnight in Cusco.
Cusco – Sacred Valley (B, L)
Departure towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the town of Pisac, where you can explore the local market, shop for handicrafts, walk through its traditional streets, and visit its archaeological site. Lunch included.
Continue along the Urubamba River enjoying beautiful landscapes towards Ollantaytambo, an Inca town still inhabited today. Explore its main stone constructions, including the Temple of the Sun, formed by six massive granite monoliths.
Overnight in the Sacred Valley.
Sacred Valley – KM 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Aguas Calientes (B, L, D)
Early departure. Train ride to KM 104, where the hike begins. Visit Chachabamba (2,270 m / 7,448 ft), where your guide will explain its historical significance.
Continue to Wiñay Wayna (2,650 m / 8,694 ft), one of the most important archaeological sites after Machu Picchu.
Proceed to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view and the sunset over Machu Picchu (2,400 m / 7,874 ft).
Then continue to Aguas Calientes. Only a brief visit to Machu Picchu is included on this day.

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco (B, L)
Early bus ride to Machu Picchu to enjoy the tranquility of the site. Guided tour of the “Lost City of the Incas,” visiting its main temples, terraces, and residential areas, while learning about Inca history and culture.
Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (subject to availability, not included).
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco.

Cusco – Maras & Moray (B)
Departure to Moray, considered an Inca agricultural laboratory due to its circular terraces used for crop experimentation.
Then visit Maras and its impressive salt mines, known as the “white gold of the Andes,” still exploited naturally by local communities.

Transfer to the airport or bus station at the appropriate time.
Ideal Travel Season
Traveling during the low season, from December to March in the Andean region, is recommended due to more competitive rates on accommodations and flights, as well as a more relaxed experience at the main tourist attractions.
Difficulty Level
Moderate, as it combines cultural excursions with hikes on uneven terrain with ascents and descents; a basic to intermediate physical condition and proper altitude acclimatization are recommended.
